Born in Munich in 1951, Angelhart traveled to various places about the world in her early life. Strongly influenced by her two grandmothers who were both artists, her devotion to art began as a child. Focusing on printmaking in college, she also worked in ceramics and as stained glass before settling on watercolor.

Angelhart has painted more than three hundred commissioned watercolors over fifteen years.
