Born in New York in 1972. Thompson was educated at the Art Student’s League and Water Street Atelier in New York. He now teaches at the Art Students League, Parsons, part-time professor at the New York School of Design, Adjunct professor of Painting and Drawing at the New York Academy of Art and is the founder of The Grand Central Academy in New York. Thompson has also taught at the Water Street Atelier, Studio 126 in New York, The Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art and Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia
His work is featured in prominent collections including, Forbes Magazine, Eileen Guggenheim, John Pence, San Francisco and the Portrait Society of Canada.
