Lush impressionist works with colorful energy and intrigue.

Born in Moscow in 1974, Monahov graduated from the Moscow Art College and the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow where he studied under the guidance of professors M. Abakumov and V. Sidorov.

Monahov has been in several major international exhibitions, including "The Real Painting" and "At the Joint of Centuries" in Russia; "Light and Wind from Europe" in Japan; "Russian Spring" and "Russian Charm" in Great Britain.

He has shown at the "Oriel Gallery" in Ireland, "Medici Gallery" and "Apollo Antiques" in Great Britain. His works are in private collections and galleries in Russia, Great Britain, Ireland, the United States, Japan, France, Indonesia and Latvia.

Monahov was invited to Santa Fe in 2004 where he completed a body of work for a "Russian Summer" exhibition.
