Grace Kim

Vibrant Still Life works that revitalize the Dutch tradition with contemporary appeal.

This June, Grace Kim was honored with a lifetime membership in the Hudson Valley Art Association. In 2006 her “Persimmon” won "Best Still Life" in the International Realist Competition and was selected by the Artist’s Magazine for their December cover and “Best Art of 2006" in the genre. Kim also has work in an upcoming tour of 12 museums nation-wide. In 2004 and 2005 She was exhibited in the Allied Artists of America National Competition, as well as the Hudson Valley Art Association National Juried Competition.

Kim studied at the Schuler School of Fine Art and worked with artists such as Danni Dawson, Robert Liberace, Gerald King, and Ann Schuler. Less than two years after her introduction to fine art, Kim was working as an official copyist at the National Gallery in Washington D.C., where she concentrated on the Dutch still life masterpieces of the 16th and 17th centuries. From 2001 to present, Kim has studied with Ken Marlow.
